Country star LeAnn Rimes is opening up about a serious health struggle that has forced her to step away from the stage—and she says she’s “truly heartbroken.”

The 43-year-old singer revealed she’s dealing with a severe illness that has made it impossible for her to travel or perform this week, leading to the cancellation of multiple shows.

“Due to severe illness, I am unable to travel & perform this week,” Rimes shared with fans. “I’m sorry to share that the upcoming shows in Spokane and Seattle will be rescheduled.”

She was originally set to perform at the Martin Woldson Theater in Spokane on April 30 and at Benaroya Hall in Seattle on May 1. Those concerts have now been pushed back to May 31 and June 2 as she focuses on recovery.

“I am truly heartbroken to have to reschedule,” she added. “I’m so very grateful for your kindness and continued support as I recover. I look forward to being back on stage and seeing you very soon.”

While Rimes did not reveal the exact nature of her illness, the situation appears serious enough to completely halt her touring plans—raising concern among fans.

The update comes just weeks after Rimes went viral for a deeply emotional video showing her undergoing an intense jaw release procedure, a form of bodywork designed to relieve stored tension. In the clip, she could be seen in visible pain before breaking down in tears.

Some online questioned the authenticity of the moment, but Rimes quickly shut that down.

“I can act, but I am not that good,” she said. “I’m not Meryl Streep.”

Behind the scenes, the singer has also been dealing with personal stress. Earlier this month, she marked her 15th wedding anniversary with husband Eddie Cibrian, describing the time as filled with “tears and worry” due to difficult family circumstances.

“It’s been a different anniversary,” she wrote. “One filled with tears and worry, but also moments of laughter and deep gratitude.”
