John Miller is reaching his breaking point over Jennifer Garner’s continued closeness with ex-husband Ben Affleck, insiders claim. Sources tell us Miller has laid down the law, telling Garner, “It’s him or me!” after feeling like she’s prioritizing Affleck’s needs over their relationship.
Miller, 47, has reportedly been frustrated by the amount of time Garner spends supporting her ex, especially in the wake of Affleck’s ongoing split from Jennifer Lopez. While he has always respected their co-parenting dynamic, sources say Miller believes Affleck has crossed a line.
Things came to a head after Affleck and Garner were spotted getting close at a family paintball outing with two of their three children. The sight of them laughing and sharing an affectionate moment at the Combat Paintball Park in Castaic, California, didn’t sit well with Miller.
“John is getting fed up with Jennifer constantly being there for Ben,” an insider shared. “He thinks Ben has become too reliant on her, and it’s taking a toll on their relationship.”
Despite reassurances that there’s nothing romantic going on, Miller feels the optics of these cozy public moments aren’t respectful to their relationship. One source revealed, “John doesn’t want to see anything like that again—if it happens, he may have no choice but to walk away.”
Garner, 52, and Affleck, 52, share three children—Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13. Though their marriage ended in 2018, their bond has remained strong, with the actress being a major source of support for Affleck, especially during his split from Lopez.
A source close to the situation noted, “Ben and Jen have always had a close relationship, but lately, it’s been a little too much. They’re spending holidays together like Thanksgiving and Christmas, and John is starting to feel like the third wheel.”
Meanwhile, Affleck recently made headlines for shutting down his son Samuel’s pricey sneaker request. While attending the Got Sole sneaker convention, Samuel set his sights on a $6,000 pair of Dior Air Jordan 1s—only to have his dad remind him that money doesn’t come easy.
“You’re broke,” Affleck reportedly told his son, adding, “I have the money, you don’t!”
The Town actor, known for his own love of sneakers, joked about how kids try to finesse expensive purchases. “That’s what happens when you tell a kid they have to mow a lawn—all of a sudden, they don’t want those shoes.”
