Lilly, 46, is best known for her breakout role as Kate Austen on the hit TV series Lost and for portraying Hope van Dyne, also known as the Wasp, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Her film credits include multiple appearances in blockbuster superhero films, making her one of the most recognizable faces in modern pop culture.

The injury occurred in May of last year when Lilly fainted at the beach and struck her head on a boulder. Months later, she announced that she was stepping away from acting as she focused on her health and recovery.

Following her latest update, fellow actors flooded the comments with messages of support. Michelle Pfeiffer praised Lilly’s strength, calling her “a warrior” and adding, “Nothing — not even this — will defeat you my friend.” Alyssa Milano also shared words of sympathy and encouragement.

Despite the sobering scan results, Lilly struck a determined and hopeful tone, making it clear she is not giving up. She told fans she plans to “embark on the hard work of fixing it,” signaling a long and challenging road ahead.

She closed her message on a note of gratitude, reflecting on resilience and perspective in the face of uncertainty. “Feeling extraordinarily grateful and blessed to be able to play one more day, one more year, on this beautiful living planet,” she said.
