The claims surfaced after Ruby responded to a viral moment involving Justin Bieber, but quickly escalated into a deeply serious accusation. According to Ruby, the alleged incident took place years ago at a nightclub in Melbourne.
In a series of posts, Ruby described what she says happened that night. She claims the incident happened while she was resting with her head on a friend’s lap. Ruby alleges that Katy Perry approached her and, without consent, pulled aside her underwear and pressed her genital area against Ruby’s face. She says the encounter caused her to wake up suddenly and become physically ill, claiming she vomited immediately afterward.
She also claims the incident happened in a public setting and was witnessed by multiple people. Despite that, she says she struggled to process what had happened at the time and chose to frame it publicly as a “funny drunk story,” saying she didn’t yet have the language or clarity to describe it as something more serious.
Ruby also explained why she stayed silent for so long. She said fear, past trauma, and complicated personal dynamics all played a role. She further claimed she was later offered help with her career, which contributed to her decision not to speak out sooner. She described the situation as involving psychological pressure that made it even harder to come forward.
Now, years later, she says she has decided to take action.
Ruby revealed she recently went to a police station to formally report the alleged incident. She acknowledged that the case may face legal challenges due to the time that has passed, but said she felt a sense of relief after finally speaking with authorities.
She also expressed support for other survivors, explaining that for years she felt too afraid to take formal steps because of doubts about how such cases are handled.
As of now, Katy Perry has not publicly responded to the allegations.
